Mandy Pond Co-Coach

Coach Pond began swimming competitively at 6 years old and continued through high school on the Augusta Swim League. She coached Hammond Hills Swim Team from 1996-1999 and Augusta Swim League in 1999. She currently is the Vice President of Hammond Hills Swim Team. This is her fourth season coaching NAHS. She recently joined the ARP Blue Tides (Masters swim team). She currently teaches at Hammond Hill Elementary School as a Reading Interventionist. Coach Pond was a butterflier and a backstroker. Her favorite event is the 200IM because, as it turns out, it's tough to get bored when you're switching strokes every 50.

Sarah Emerling Co-Coach

Coach Emerling (or Coach Sarah, or Coach E, or just Coach) began swimming competitively at the age of six and swam all the way through high school. She swam two whole weeks on her Division III college team before deciding that she couldn't balance all the things. She taught swim lessons for 12 years, teaching everything from infants to adults. She is an assistant coach for Southern Tide Swim Team, a year-round swim club. She is also the president, alongside her husband, of the Houndslake Swim Team - a summer league team in Aiken. She currently teaches at Hammond Hill Elementary School. She was a butterflier (but mostly despised it) and a sprinter (and loved it).
